Welcome to today's election wrap. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held marathon rallies in Uttar Pradesh today and campaigned in Jonpur, Azamgarh and Badui. Prime Minister Modi targeted the Congress and the Samajwadi Party in the rallies and accused the opposition of spreading lies about the Citizenship Amendment Act. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a join press conference with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow and reiterated his claim that Home Minister Amit Shah would be made the next Prime Minister and Yogi Adityanath would be removed as Chief Minister if the BJP returned to park. In Varanasi, comedian Shyam Rangila, who had announced he would contest the polls against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleged that he was prevented from submitting his nomination papers. Leading the BJP's charge in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Citizenship Amendment Act or the CAA was here to stay and accused the opposition of spreading lies. The Prime Minister asserted that thousands of refugees would be granted citizenship under the law in Azamgarh, PM Modi said earlier the constituency was known for blasts and explosions but its identity changed a decade ago. Singling out the Samajwadi Party, the Prime Minister said terrorists accused of explosions were pardoned while sleeper cells were given the cover of politics. The opposition also LED its charge in Uttar Pradesh with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal campaigning in the state for the first time after he secured interim bail. Kejriwal said Adityanath would be removed as Uttar Pradesh chief minister if the BJP came to power as he was the only person who could prove to be a thorn in the way of Amit Shah becoming the next Prime Minister. The AAM Aadmi Party chief also said trends coming from across the country show the BJP would get less than 220 seats. Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi continued to keep her focus on the Congress bastion of Raibareli where her brother Rahul Gandhi is in the fray. Priyanka said the Prime Minister doesn't listen to Janata Ki Manki Baat but only says his own Manki Baat. She also raked up recent comments by Prime Minister Modi that he never said anything about Hindu Muslim and he certain that the BJP's whole politics was based on it. The Congress leader also exuded confidence in comfortably winning both Amethi and rivalry. Coming to news from Maharashtra now, NCP Supreme or Sharad Pawar launched a scathing attack on PM Modi while campaigning in Nasik, Pawar said PM Modi's claim of Congress wanting to keep 15% of the budget for Muslims was foolish. Pawar also claimed that PM Modi's roadshow in Mumbai on Wednesday was held in a Gujarati dominated area and he was focusing on a particular community. Comedian Sham Rangila has claimed that he was prevented from submitting his nomination papers in Varanasi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the BJP's candidate. Sham Rangila, who gained fame for his mimicry of PM Modi, claimed he was denied access to the district magistrate's office. However, the Varanasi district magistrate said Rangila's nomination paper was cancelled as his affidavit was incomplete and he did not take oath. That's all for today.
