Lok Sabha polls: To boost voting, UP schools announce extra marks, pay
LUCKNOW: Taking incentives to a new level, schools in Lucknow have come up with innovative rewards for students whose parents get inked on the polling day, on May 21. St Joseph's College in Lucknow will not only give 10 extra marks to students whose parents exercise their franchise, but also give an extra day's salary to staff who take part in the election process.
"The 10 extra marks could be in a single subject, or divided into different subjects," said Anil Agarwal, managing director of St Joseph's group of institutions. "We have taken the decision to increase voting percentage in Lucknow Lok Sabha polls," he said.
