Kumbalangi Nights actor Mathew Thomas’s family loses a relative in road accident
Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas is grappling with a challenging situation following a tragic accident involving his family on May 15. While returning from a family gathering, their jeep overturned on an under-construction highway in Sasthamugal (Kochi, Kerala) and fell into a gutter.
The accident claimed the life of Mathew's 61-year-old relative, Beena Daniel, while leaving his father Biju, mother Susan, and Beena's husband Saju hospitalized with injuries. Additionally, Mathew's brother John, who was driving the vehicle, is also receiving medical treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the reason behind the accident.
Beena Daniel, a retired teacher, was rushed to the hospital following the accident but, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, Mathew's father Biju, mother Susan, and Beena's husband Saju are undergoing treatment for their injuries sustained in the tragic incident. The family's return from a family event turned into a harrowing ordeal due to the jeep overturning on the under-construction national highway.
Amid this tragedy, the Malayalam film Cup, starring Mathew Thomas and Basil Joseph, is gearing up for release. The film's teaser, unveiled on April 21, has generated considerable anticipation among cinephiles, fueling excitement.
On top of it, he is also part of Dhanush's upcoming directorial venture Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, which also stars many youngsters including Priya Prakash Warrier. Thomas was recently seen in the superhit Malayalam film Premalu. He was also part of Vijay's Leo as the actor's son in the film. The tragic accident has come at a time when the actor's career is flourishing as he is making a mark transcending boundaries.
