Will there be a Bridgerton Season 4?
Yes! Netflix renewed Bridgerton for season 3 and season 4 all the way back in 2021 when season 2 was being filmed. And plans haven’t changed – Nicola Coughlin recently confirmed that season 4 is still a go.

Maybe! Claudia Jessie, who portrays Eloise Bridgerton, hinted that if she is taking the lead, her co-stars have shown her how it’s done.
“Phoebe [Dynevor] took it on really beautifully. She did such an incredible job kicking off this show,” Jessie said about Season 1.
“And Johnny [Jonathan Bailey] and Simone [Ashley] and obviously, Regé [Regé-Jean Page] from Season one as well and then Nicola and Luke,” she added.
However, it’s still up for speculation if Eloise’s love story is next. In the same interview, she claimed that even she didn’t know whose steamy romance would rock the Ton in season 4.

Season 4 has two other contenders for the lead – Benedict (Luke Thomson) and Francesca (Hannah Dodd). It would make sense to circle back to Benedict since his love story with Sophie was already delayed in season 3.
However, the writers might also be building up Francesca to take on the starring role since the original actress portraying her (Ruby Stokes) left midway through season 2, citing other commitments.
What book is Bridgerton season 4 based on?
Book four, titled Romancing Mister Bridgerton, details Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington – the leads in season 3. The original book order had the second eldest Bridgerton brother Benedict’s romance take centre stage over its third installment entitled An Offer From a Gentleman.
With the popular Netflix series no longer following Julia Quinn’s original book series order, fans are left guessing and hoping for clues in season 3 of Bridgerton.
When will season 4 premier?
It’s anyone’s guess at this point. Season 4 was already in production in April 2024. But filming has yet to begin. So, stay tuned!

Which actors will be returning to Bridgerton season 4?
Netflix has yet to confirm the official Bridgerton season 4 cast. However, if the previous seasons are any indication, then fans will be happy to see a lot of familiar faces return. Coughlin, for once, recently confirmed that she will be returning to season 4 alongside Newton, resuming their roles as Penny and Colin. The pair had some incredible chemistry on and off set, so it will be great to see them back in action in the fourth season.
In addition, characters like Benedict, Eloise, Francesca, Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh), Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel), Hyacinth (Florence Hunt), Gregory (Will Tilston) and the voice behind Lady Whistledown (Julie Andrews), who are central to the storyline, are sure to be regulars throughout the season.
Where can you watch season 4?
Upon its release, season 4 will be available to stream on Netflix. In the meantime, Bridgerton fans can get their Regency-era romance fix by rewatching seasons 1 and 2 and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which are currently on the streaming platform. Season 3 will be released in two parts, with the first half premiering on May 16, 2024. The second will go live just under a month later on June 13, 2024.
