Police release CCTV of shooting at Rebels’ Melbourne clubhouse
Police have released CCTV footage a year on from a shooting at a bikie clubhouse in Melbourne.
Detectives still do not know if the shooting was an inter or intra-club act of violence.
On May 16 last year, a man took himself to hospital after being shot in the lower body; his injuries were not-life threatening.
Police believe the shooting happened at the Rebels Motorcycle Club pad on Fairbairn Rd in Sunshine West about 7.30pm.

The anti-bikie Echo Taskforce hopes releasing CCTV footage will coax out information.
“Any indiscriminate use of a firearm in this manner is concerning for police and we will do absolutely everything in our power to bring those involved before the court,” taskforce Detective Acting Inspector Ash Ryan said.
About 45 minutes before the suspected shooting, a vehicle canvassed the area around the Rebels clubhouse, police say.

The same car comes back at 7.30pm and shortly after, at least three people can be seen on the CCTV being chased from the clubhouse back towards that vehicle.
As they are chased, there is a flash that police say is a gunshot, and the chasing pack retreats.

Police are considering the possibility the shooting is result of a rivalry between outlaw motorcycle gangs or perhaps an internal dispute within the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang.
Investigations are ongoing but it is believed to be a targeted attack.
“Over the past year, detectives have followed up a number of avenues of inquiry in relation to this shooting and we are hopeful that with the release of the CCTV and images, we will have more people come forward with information,” Inspector Ryan said.

“We’re also keen to speak to anyone who might be able to identify the vehicle or has information on its current location.
“Investigators still believe it was a targeted incident, but we are keen to speak to anyone who has knowledge of those involved and what the motivation for the shooting might have been – whether that be a result of a rivalry between clubs or an in-house dispute within the Rebels OMCG (outlaw motorcycle gang),” he said.
