The New York Jets open the season with a tough road test against the San Francisco 49ers. And former NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress believes that the Jets' season opener opponent will once again be among the NFL's best teams.
Burress spent the 2011 season with the Jets. He now works as an analyst for FS1 where he frequently appears on 'The Carton Show.'
The comments from Burress aren't a big surprise, given that the 49ers are an elite team. They've made the playoffs in four of the last five years (and in each of those seasons, they made it to the NFC Championship Game).
They've twice made it to the Super Bowl, losing on both occasions.
The sustainable nature of their team, where they seemingly reload each season, makes them a difficult match-up for the Jets.
