The F1 season rolls into Silverstone this weekend for the much-anticipated British Grand Prix.
While Max Verstappen may have a sizeable lead in the championship, home favourite Lando Norris is once again set to challenge for victory and tensions will be high following their collision in Austria.
George Russell took advantage of their crash and will be aiming for back-to-back wins, while Mercedes teammate Sir Lewis Hamilton will be looking to extend his record number of Silverstone victories.
Here’s all the important information you need to know about the great race, including how to watch and those all important session start times.
How to watch the British Grand Prix on TV this weekend
Viewers will have the choice of two broadcasters to watch the British Grand Prix on.
Sky Sports and Channel 4 will show every session from the three days live, with a live stream also available on the Sky Go app for subscribers and the Channel 4 website and app.

British Grand Prix session start times
The action gets underway on Friday afternoon, with the first practice session at 12:30pm, followed by the second at 4pm.
The third practice session is on Saturday morning at 11:30am, before the all-important qualifying gets underway at 3pm.
It’s lights out and away they go on Sunday, with the race scheduled to start at 3pm. It should last around an hour-and-a-half but could be longer if there are any safety cars or red flags.

What’s the weather forecast for the British Grand Prix?
There’s a good chance Friday will be disrupted by rain, which will affect drivers and teams as they look to find the perfect set-up for their cars.
Saturday looks to be dry with mild temperatures and high winds, but the heavens are set to reopen on race day, with a 25 per cent chance of rain when the lights go out.
It’s set to get wetter as the afternoon goes on, so those who fancy their chances in mixed and wet conditions will be hoping there are several delays.

The F1 season so far
Just before the halfway point of the 24 race season, Verstappen has a comfortable 81 point lead in the championship, meaning he could miss the next three races and still be winning no matter what happens.
The Dutchman may have won seven of the 11 races so far but no victory is coming easy, especially with McLaren’s car just as quick as Red Bull’s.
Norris is his closest challenger, with the Brit taking his maiden F1 win in Miami, and he’ll be out for revenge after Verstappen knocked him out of the last race in Austria
Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have also claimed victory in 2024 and will be hoping to get Ferrari back on track at Silverstone after a tough few weeks.
Mercedes started the season in awful form which left Russell and Hamilton way off the pace but recent upgrades have put them back in contention, with the latter desperate to end his two-and-a-half year winless run and get at least one last Mercedes victory before departing for Ferrari.
