fire near track disrupting railway services

Disruption may affect journeys on Tuesday afternoon

Railway passengers have been warned of disruption to services due to a fire.

National Rail said there will be disruption until 14:00 BST on 2 July after flames were seen beside the track between Pewsey and Bedwyn at around midday.

As a result, all lines are closed, and trains travelling between Pewsey and Bedwyn may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes, revised, or diverted between Taunton and Reading.

Routes between London Paddington and Devon and Cornwall are also affected.
