The economy ministry has given the green light to TSM. CS plans to invest an additional 10 billion U.S. dollars overseas. According to the ministry, the chip giant will split the sum roughly in half between its majority owned fab in Kumamoto, Japan and its Arizona site in the US. TSMC has already invested over 85 billion U.S. dollars in these projects.
