Could Buccaneers Sign J.C. Jackson?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were bottom five in the NFL this past season in passing yards allowed, so they could use some help in their secondary.
In a recent article by Pro Football Network's Lorenzo Reyna, he outlines one free agent that he believes each NFL team should sign ahead of training camp. For the reigning NFC South champions, he thinks they should go after veteran cornerback J.C. Jackson.

"J.C. Jackson may be on his final NFL strike after botched campaigns with the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots," Reyna writes. "However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need CB help, and this puts Jackson on a playoff team and not in a rebuild."
Jackson has had a rough couple of seasons, but he is still a solid corner when he is able to stay on the field.
In fact, he's had moments when he is better than "solid.''
In his 2021 campaign, he played in 17 games, and he finished with eight interceptions. He also was able to make the Pro Bowl and was named Second Team All-Pro. While he has had some injury problems, he could still be a helpful veteran presence on any team wanting to contend.
The Buccaneers were still able to make the playoffs and advance past the first round with their current defense, so in theory, adding a veteran corner could put the team one step closer to moving over the top as a contender in the NFC.
