Eamonn Holmes quits TV show live on air after 'borrowed time' health claim
Eamonn Holmes walked out of his GB News programme live on air after falling ill.
The presenter, who last week told The Mirror he is on 'borrowed time', raised concern when he went missing halfway through a 7:45am interview with Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Mental Health Maria Caulfield on Tuesday Morning.
The usually outspoken Eamonn did not say a word during the chat, leaving his co-host Isabel Webster to grill the MP. Eamonn then fled the studio with Isabel presenting the rest of their breakfast show solo for 90 minutes.
The news comes just days after the veteran broadcaster told the Mirror at the TRIC Awards that he was "not ok" following his split from Ruth Langsford.

A spokesperson for GB News said: "Eamonn had to finish a little earlier today as he was feeling unwell. He hopes to be back tomorrow." Despite his poor health, a friend of Eamonn's told the MailOnline that he was in good spirits.
In recent years, the 64-year-old has been plagued by ill health. Speaking to the Mirror at the TRIC Awards, he revealed an operation he'd had went "wrong". He said: "Thank you very much for this award. We were up against world-class programmes and that makes it a little bit more special. Sometimes we all think about imposter syndrome. I went for an operation a year and a half ago and it went wrong. I got two things in my back that I didn't want."
Eamonn occasionally relies on a mobility scooter. However, his new mode of transport has led to mixed reactions from the public on social media. Speaking to Best magazine in September, he said: “Some people were mocking me on social media... ‘Oh, look at Eamonn, he’s in a mobility scooter!’ I replied, saying, ‘I would prefer if I wasn’t in it but how else would I have got around?’ The alternative is I don’t go anywhere, and I sit in my armchair, work in the office. So, I go out... It’s mentally uplifting to get out.”
Eamonn is said to have sought comfort from a mystery blonde family friend following his split from his former wife. But while Ruth has maintained a break from her telly career, Eamonn returned to screens just days after his divorce was announced.
Addressing the bombshell news, he said: "So here we are on this Tuesday morning and a lot of politics. Just before we move on I would just like to thank people for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation. Your support for both of us is very much appreciated." He had earlier made a cryptic comment about "what a weekend it was."
