EastEnders fans ‘need to wash their eyes out’ after Priya seduces Nish - but quickly left distracted
EastEnders viewers were left on the edge of their seats as Priya Nandra-Hart, played by the talented Sophie Khan Levy, turned up the heat with a scandalous move on her former father-in-law, Nish Panesar.
Sophie's character Priya made quite the entrance last year alongside her daughter Avani, portrayed by Aaliyah James, shaking things up as Ravi's (Aaron Thiara) ex and the mother of his previously unknown child, which certainly sent shockwaves through the Panesar family.
Since then, Priya has been stirring the pot in Albert Square, juggling family feuds and romantic entanglements, ensuring her storyline is anything but dull.
The plot thickened as Nish Panesar, played by Navin Chowdhry, returned to Walford with the bombshell revelation that he's terminally ill, causing a stir among the Panesars and leading Ravi and Vinny to bury the hatchet.
In a jaw-dropping twist, Monday's episode (July 1) on iPlayer saw Priya make a bold and calculating move towards Nish, offering him "enjoyable" company in his final months for a price, of course. This comes after she was caught red-handed with Suki's credit card by Avani, who pleads with her not to disrupt their newfound stability with the Panesars, reports the Daily Star.
Unfazed, Priya took control of the situation in a way only she can. Nish initially rejected the idea, but after seeing his ex-wife Suki and her partner Eve looking rather cosy together, he had a swift change of heart. Back at No. 41, Nish cheekily told Priya she was a "bad girl" and demanded she remove her top before they sealed their unexpected reunion with a kiss.
Viewers at home felt all kinds of discomfort watching the drama unfold. One person took to a Reddit thread to express their feelings, saying: "feel like I need to wash my eyes out after today's episode why Priya."
Another chimed in: "Did I smoke something I wasn't supposed to because what the f*** was this episode."
Yet, as intense as the moment was between Nish and Priya, it was soon upstaged by another startling moment within the same scene.
While Nish and Priya were lost in their heated embrace, Nish's grandson and Priya's son, Nugget, happened to be outside. Unfortunately, the teenager crumpled to the ground, feeling the full force of his recent dalliance with steroids.
One viewer tweeted about Nugget's unfortunate timing: "Imagine seeing your mum cop off with your grandad..." While another fan bluntly stated: "Getting off with the mother of your grandkids, it's just filth like wtf is going on."
