Two foreigners with drugs and homemade rifles arrested in Sabah raid
KOTA KINABALU: Two foreigners were arrested for possessing drugs and homemade weapons
during a raid at a farm at Jalan Jeroco in Sabah's east coast Lahad Datu district.
Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) Commander Datuk Victor Sanjos said the special forces also found 87.53g of methamphetamine (worth RM24,500), three homemade air rifles, 50 marbles used as bullets, 10 knives, four parangs and three axes.
He said that two Indonesian men arrested were handed over to the Kinabatangan district police for further investigations under Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act (ADB) 1952.
He said it is believed that the suspects used the farm to distribute drugs.
"The quick action of the Esscom Special Team through the cooperation and assistance of the Auxiliary Police at the farm reflected Esscom's commitment towards reducing cross-border crimes," he said.
He urged the public to report suspicious information to the Esscom Operations Center at 089-863181 or through the WhatsApp application at 011-63311072 to ensure security in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Ess Zone).
"Esscom will also continue to intensify operational coordination with other security forces to curb and arrest individuals with malicious intent to disrupt and threaten the country's peace and security.
