BBC Morning Live presenter Helen Skelton sends heartfelt message to co-host

BBC Morning Live host Helen Skelton has shared a heartwarming message to Michelle Ackerley after her return to work. The beloved breakfast show, which has Gethin Jones, Helen, and Michelle at the helm, airs on weekdays from 9.30am to 10.45am.

Michelle has been off the screen for over a month, however, to tie the knot and enjoy her honeymoon. Besides Morning Live, she is also known for hosting The World's Strongest Man and Crimewatch Live.

Michelle got hitched to her fiance Ben Ryan last month, and her last appearance on Morning Live was on Thursday, May 16, before she made her comeback on Wednesday, 26 June. As she returned on Morning Live last week, Gethin quipped: "Where have you been? What have you been doing since we saw you last?"

"I've been getting married, haven't I? " came Michelle's playful reply as Morning Live showcased pictures of her wedding day to their viewers. Admiring the photographs that displayed Michelle in a white dress alongside her husband-to-be, Gethin commented, "There they are! These photos are absolutely gorgeous."

Helen also expressed her joy for Michelle's comeback as she posted a sweet message for her co-host on Instagram. Sharing an exclusive backstage clip featuring herself and Gethin getting ready, Helen wrote: "Because @gethincjones is learning what a reel is and @nancyspencermakeup @alexandrayoungfashionstylist and I like to play dress up."

She added: "Glad we got our @michelle_ackerley back with us @bbcmorninglive this week," accompanied by a pair of loving red heart emojis. Michelle's comeback follows a period of presenter rotations on Morning Live, reports the Express.

In the previous month, regular hosts Helen and Gethin were substituted by Gaby Roslin and Rav Wilding, as Helen was engaged in filming a Channel 5 travel programme with Dan Walker following the success of Dan and Helen's Pennine Adventure last year.

Elsewhere, comedian Jason Manford recently made his Morning Live presenting debut and is scheduled to fill in for Gethin once more on Wednesday, July 3, joining forces with Helen.
