Kotex Kenya has denied allegations by nominated Senator Karen Nyamu that there are ongoing discussions for a possible partnership.

In a viral Facebook post, the company confirmed that no discussions had occurred between the two parties.

Their statement came hours after Nyamu alleged that her foundation had a series of meetings with Kotex Kenya to negotiate an excellent deal to supply free tampons to schools in the slums.

Nyamu, via her Instagram stories, addressed the fake claims Kortext had placed on her, stating that she understood why they did not want association with her. She wrote:

"Sometimes companies forget political figures are also people and what we do to impact the community is bigger than ourselves. As for Kortex Kenya i feel sorry for the backlash you had to endure yesterday due to my political stand at a time when political temperatures in the country are hot, forcing you to make the statement you made. our aim is not to set you up so we will let it rest there," she said in part.

Media personality Mandy responded to Nyamju's Instagram stories, calling Nyamu "foolish."

"You look so foolish," Mandy told the politician.

"I don't look how I look when I speak the truth." Nyamu responded.

Mandy told Nyamu that time would reveal that all her takes were not smart.

"Let's watch how it unfolds; the good thing with time is that it reveals how silly your takes are."

The politician fired back at the radio personality, but it was too late as Mandy had already blocked her.

“What are you waiting to see lol you think they will change their minds? They have already retracted. Well, they are my takes, my silly takes they have worked for me not like you have anything to show for your brilliant ones.”
