Kanyari accepts apology from lady who gifted him CDs in church: "Hatafanya tena"

Why did woman gift Kanyari CDs?
In a TikTok video, Kanyari said Faith Mutindi Peters was remorseful and would not repeat the highly-criticised gesture.
Faith gifted the Salvation Healing Ministry preacher a pack of CDs, Arimis milking jelly and tampons in May 2024.
"Online, I am often told to stay away from Faith. She has come to the church and asked for forgiveness. I am happy that she has paid me a courtesy call. I have forgiven her.
If I have and God has forgiven her, who are you not to?" posed Kanyari, looking dapper in a blue suit and slide footwear.
According to Faith, the controversy sparked by gifting Pastor Kanyari the CDs at the altar took a toll on her.
"It has been tough. Thank you very much for accepting the apology," said Faith, who looked svelte in a pink dress accentuated with a wide, high-waisted belt.
Netizens said they had also forgiven her for accepting responsibility and expressing regret and guilt.

Why did Kanyari close business?
Opening up about the backlash, Kanyari said he shut his businesses and locked himself in the house.
Kanyari said angered social media users forced him to solitude for receiving the CDs from Faith.
He said the critics disapproved of the gift and blasted him for not intervening, considering the church's setting.
The controversial preacher explained that the criticism left him isolated and depressed.
