Benni McCarthy leaves Manchester United, Orlando Pirates next?
Benni McCarthy has left Manchester United. So, what does the future hold for the Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana legend.
Benni McCarthy has decided to leave Manchester United.
Meanwhile, he has been linked with the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, the MLS and even Saudi Arabia. However, an Orlando Pirates move makes for the perfect marriage and it is possible.
MCCARTHY LEAVES MANCHESTER UNITED
McCarthy has officially left the Manchester United.
In fact, he has reportedly turned down a two-year contract extension offer from the Red Devils.
“Having reportedly turned down a two-year contract from the Red Devils following the expiry of his deal in June, McCarthy is said to have tested the waters with a possible move to the MLS, while talk of a return to the DStv Premiership remained rife,” the report read on SoccerLaduma.
Meaning, McCarthy is now a free agent. Furthermore, he previously hinted at the possibility of joining Kaizer Chiefs. Ironically, this is one of the main reasons fans can be hopeful of a move to the Bucs. Let’s break it down.

Pirates are in the market for a new assistant coach. Meanwhile, McCarthy is now unattached.
Furthermore, he hinted at not saying no to Chiefs on the basis that they are an insulation. Meaning, a well established club with history and huge ambitions.
