Kheith Rhynne Cruz rules WTT Youth
MANILA, Philippines — Kheith Rhynne Cruz emerged victorious in the World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender Westchester 2024 Under-19 singles division in Pleasantville, New York.
After her successful stint in Puerto Princesa last October 2023, Cruz bagged her second title after taking down USA's Lichen Chen in the finals, 11-5, 11-13, 11-8, 12-10.
In the semi-finals, Cruz displayed speed and accuracy after dominating Daymar Castro of Puerto Rico, 11-5, 11-8, 11-4.
She went 2-0 in Group 1 after defeating Canada's Louise Fan and USA's Rachel Wang in straight sets.
The 17-year-old from Paco Citizen Academy Foundation also bagged the silver in U19 mixed doubles after she and Bosman Botha bowed to Naresh Nandan and Rachel Wang in extended sets, 11-6, 8-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-9.
