Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-in-line S series, Samsung Galaxy S24. Following the trends, Samsung will also be releasing a budget phone—Galaxy S24 FE which is expected to be launched later this year.After being spotted in Geekbench listings last month, another leak suggests that Samsung GalaxyS24 FE will come in five colour options. With the release date approaching, more rumours and news are emerging about this new phone, especially regarding its colour options.The launch of the series is rumoured to come after the Samsung Unpacked event 2024 which is set for July 10 and is to be held in Paris.

According to a tipster, Ross Young at DSCC, posted on X (formerly Twitter), the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will be launched in five colour variants, including Black, Gray, Light Blue, Light green and Yellow. Young also indicated that the company will be majorly focusing on the Black variant.These likely aren't the marketing names of the colour variants, as current colour options (including exclusive online colours) are more descriptive: Graphite, Purple, Cream, Mint, Tangerine, and Indigo.

Samsung focusing on the Black variant is not a surprise. It has been seen that the classic black has always been the top preference of users. Hence, it is no surprise that the Black variant will be manufactured in the highest volume. Last month, a glimpse of the light green variant had already been leaked.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: What to expect

As per the earlier leaks, Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to come withslimmer bezels as compared to its predecessor, Galaxy S23 FE. Additionally, the upcoming device is also rumoured to feature a larger display which is expected to measure 6.65-inch.Contrary to some expectations, the Galaxy S24 FE might not have a Snapdragon chipset. Instead, it is speculated to use the Exynos 2400 chipset. This is the same processor that Samsung used in some versions of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ this year.

The upcoming smartphone is speculated to sport 12GB of RAM, to handle the daily tasks. It is also rumoured to run on Android 14 out of the box, the latest version of the Android operating system.

For the optics, the Galaxy S24 FE might feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and an 8/10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom for taking photos from a distance.Samsung has not yet announced the exact launch date for the Galaxy S24 FE. However, it is expected to be released either at the end of this year or early next year. It is also worth noting that these specifications are based on rumours and speculations, hence we advise our readers to take them with a pinch of salt.
