Corrie cult leader explains his actions

Perhaps that's something a little bit more sinister to roll in. Yeah, I think there's been a few signs that she's read flags that she's chosen to ignore, and we've got quite a few more twists and turns ahead before I think she realizes it might not be what he's selling. So we've got a bit more of a journey, though, and of course. Say that I think he's suspicious yes, because there's already been a lot of heated arguments between them and he's used to people being suspicious of the institute. He's used to these family members so this is quite a game for him and it's on and we did see of course when you when you joined the show yeah, it has actually, it happened about 22 years ago when I'd left home and. When they first started, they were giddy with how much they loved it. And the first year was blessed. My mum and dad just couldn't speak more highly. And then gradually it got got worse. But when they got out, they were a little embarrassed about the situation. And I never really kind of found the found out what happened. And so getting this job, I asked them a lot of questions and it's actually been quite, it's brought me and my father closer together. And, you know, I've got some ideas and. He's given me some insight to his personal experience that I've kind of used. So it's actually been quite a healing experience bringing my father and I closer together. And yeah, it's, it's nice to. Hopefully spread awareness, bring awareness to this with the storyline and hopefully warn people of how easy it can actually happen. And obviously we do find out in the next couple of weeks that Rowan isn't his real name. Yes, we are going to learn more about his chequered past and his real identity. But I think he's such a master manipulator that he can spin it and still work in his favor. Almost and. Turn his past into, you know, that helped him grow into who he is now. But I think he he'll, he'll work it. He's truly on board with it. He he doesn't think it's a scam. That's hard to answer. Yeah, No, let me just think about that. When you can't give too much away. I think it's an interesting duality because he does really believe in it, but at the same time he is taking advantage. And I think he's aware that he is taking advantage, but he believes it's for the greater good. So I think he's justifying his actions.
