MP Oscar Sudi Shuts Down Multi-Million Shilling Club Timba XO Just Weeks After Grand Opening
Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has closed down his multi-million shilling club, Timba XO, less than two months after its opening.
Why is Timba XO being closed down?
The club, located in the Annex area along the busy Eldoret-Nakuru highway, has been closed following last week's incident where anti-Finance Bill protesters vandalized and looted it, resulting in significant losses.
According to a report by People Daily, the club's closure has forced the management to lay off over 200 employees.
Scores of female workers, whom the MP had brought in from neighboring Uganda, are among those affected by the club's closure.
The club was officially opened in May during a ceremony attended by several MPs allied with the Kenya Kwanza government.
