A Kenyan teacher has gone viral on TikTok after a video showing how she brought her school to a standstill emerged and gained millions of views.

Teacher's video goes viral

Teacher Prudence Loureen from St Cecilia Mautuma High School posted a fascinating clip depicting how her students and colleagues reacted to her unique dress code, which she chose for that day.

In the viral video, the whole school was momentarily brought to a hilarious standstill as stares flew in from every corner of the institution.

Accompanying the stares was hushed laughter as many struggled to hide their pleasant surprise as they glanced at the teacher's dress code.

"The whole school is looking at me. These students!" she said amidst laughter.

What was Teacher Prudence wearing?

When Prudence initially posted the video, she did not include the outfit, leaving netizens curious and wanting to see the dress code, which caused the literal commotion.

The teacher's outfit caused stares because it was a floor-length maroon dress paired with a cream-coloured coat, nearly the same length as shown in the outfit-reveal TikTok clip.

According to the teacher, her students had never seen her in such an outfit before, and the switch-up caused a hilarious commotion.
