Packers facing questions on offensive line heading into 2024

The Green Bay Packers have had a run of great quarterbacks. From Bart Starr to Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers to now Jordan Love — it's an undeniable trend.
Credit the quarterbacks — three of which are no-doubt Hall of Famers and Love seems to be on the way to a great career — but one of the underrated aspects of quarterback play is quarterback protection, and the Packers traditionally seem to boast a strong offensive line.
Several stars have come through Green Bay trenches over the years — most recently the likes of David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga — but the Packers are heading into somewhat of unknown territory heading into 2024.
Yes, Elgton Jenkins, when healthy, is a star who can play multiple positions. But after him, there are a bunch of question marks.
It's not a spot Green Bay is used to, but it's notable enough that Pro Football Focus recently revealed via rankings that the Packers have the worst O-line in the NFC North heading into 2024
The Packers came in ranked No. 14 overall while the Minnesota Vikings were No. 13, the Chicago Bears were No. 11 and the Detroit Lions were No. 1.
It doesn't help that Bakhtiari barely played the last few seasons as he dealt with a lingering knee injury and now he's gone. The Packers also lost guard Jon Runyan to the New York Giants via free agency.
Rasheed Walker is expected to be Bakhtiari's replacement at left tackle, but he's a former seventh-rounder and has had an up-and-down career. Zach Tom at right tackle has All-Pro potential if he can realize it, but he has to improve his consistency. Center Josh Myers and likely starting right guard Sean Rhyan don't project to have the same upside.
The Packers did spend the 25th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on Jordan Morgan out of Arizona, who could play tackle or guard. But until he shows what he can do against NFL talent, he's mostly an unknown.
The Green Bay offensive line is strong right now because of Jenkins and Tom, but everything else is up in the air. The Packers do, of course, want to be versatile on the offensive line, so there's certainly a world where the depth chart as it stands right now looks much different in the fall.
But this is a unit that has something to prove in 2024.
