BTS' Jin set to make his first variety show appearance post his military discharge with The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island
BTS’ Jin, who was discharged from his mandatory military service on June 12, is already diving back into his solo activities. The K-pop idol has been confirmed to make a guest appearance on the variety show The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island, marking his first television appearance since completing his military duty.
On July 1, Sports Chosun reported that Jin will be making a special appearance on MBC's The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island, also known as It’s A Good Thing To Rest Well. Filming for his episode has already been completed, and the broadcast date will be announced soon. Fans are eagerly anticipating his return to television, as this marks his first entertainment show appearance following his military discharge.
The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island is a unique MBC variety show led by popular TV personality Ahn Jung Hwan. Alongside him, singer Boom and newscaster Kim Dae Ho are also fixed cast members. The show features the cast and guests visiting remote, uninhabited islands, where they renovate abandoned houses and create comfortable living spaces. This concept allows viewers to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and find peace in serene, natural environments.
Jin’s upcoming guest appearance is highly anticipated due to his well-known wit and sense of humour, which have made him a fan favourite on previous variety programs. His presence is expected to bring a fresh and uplifting dynamic to the show.
Following his discharge from the military, Jin has wasted no time reconnecting with fans and resuming his professional activities. On June 13, he hosted an in-person hug event as part of BTS FESTA 2024, celebrating the group’s 11th debut anniversary. This event allowed him to spend quality time with fans, marking a warm return to public life.
Fans are also eagerly awaiting new solo music from Jin. His last solo release, The Astronaut, came out in October 2023, and there is much anticipation for what he has in store next.
Jin, whose real name is Kim Seokjin, is the oldest member of BTS and has consistently charmed fans with his personality and talent. His return to variety shows is expected to be a major highlight for viewers, given his previous successful appearances on various programs. His ability to engage audiences with his humour and charm makes him a perfect fit for It’s A Good Thing To Rest Well.
