Madhya Pradesh may bring stringent Bill to prevent paper leak
The Madhya Pradesh government is preparing to introduce a new Bill to curb paper leaks with provision of up to 10-year prison sentence and fine that can go up to Rs 1 crore.
As per officials, the new Bill may be introduced in the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Assembly or at a later stage in the form of an ordinance.
The government plans to cover the examination centre officials and other service providers in case of a paper leak under the new Bill.
Officials are also planning on whether the properties of accused persons may also be attached in such cases.
“Chief Minister Mohan Yadav discussed this with his council of ministers today. There will be other stringent provisions in the new law,” said an official Monday.
