Canada Day 2024: Canadians celebrate 157 years of unity and pride
It's known as Toronto's longest running event of its kind. The 68th Canada Day Parade in the cities East York neighborhood, it just brings everybody in the community together. We've done it for such a long time you don't even have to mention it. Everybody knows that it's happening. From first time volunteers. I thought it was really cool. So I just thought I would want to be a part of the community and help out to the people who show up year after year. I'm actually sidelined and volunteering sometimes. It's one of many events in the Toronto area bringing Canadians together, including this one at Thompson Memorial Park. Happy Canada Day, meanwhile, the main Canada Day celebration in Ottawa, drawing another large July 1st crowd. Everyone's together celebrating together, and to me, that's what Canada is very much about. I just love this country. We're free and it's awesome. They are huge and enjoy the Hercules marking 100 years since its founding with a family pass featuring dozens of aircraft of the past, present and future, ending Canada's 157th birthday on a high note.
