Jane De Leon Just Posted A Video With Rob Gomez In Taiwan
We're entering the month of July with an intriguing story, you guys.
In a surprising twist of events, we found Jane De Leon uploading a candid video of her enjoying a good Ichiran meal in Taipei, Taiwan. But what's interesting about isn't exactly Jane's outfit or the food that she's eating. (Looks really good, though!) It was the person she was with during the video—actor Rob Gomez.
Her post was actually supposed to be about her first Ichiran experience in Taiwan. She even captioned it with, "Finally! Had a chance to try ICHIRAN for the first time. It's a 10 for me!" But we couldn't look past the fact that Rob appeared in the video while sitting beside Jane. They even shared smiles in the video as Jane enjoyed her meal.
The Internet is growing curious by the minute upon seeing Jane and Rob together in a foreign country. There are no announced projects (as of writing, at least) that involve the two working alongside each other. Besides, the two celebrities both come from two different networks—with Jane being a leading lady for ABS-CBN while Rob is from GMA Network.
We guess we'll just have to wait for any developing details about this one.

Who is Jane De Leon?
So for those who might be unfamiliar with Jane, she was the latest actress to give life to the iconic Filipino superhero, Darna. She was paired with Joshua Garcia in the said teleserye. But more than her chemistry with Joshua, she also had a notable onscreen chemistry with another co-star, Janella Salvador.
Janella portrayed the character of Regina or Valentina, who was the sworn villain of the story. Throughout the show, Janella and Jane created a bond that goes beyond the cameras. Because of it, fans were so eager to always see them together and have even coined a love team name for them: JaneNella.
Just recently, the two surprised fans with a new project they did together. Fans rejoiced after seeing Jane cast together in Janella's newest music video for her single, "Hey You"—and the theme was perfectly fit for Pride Month!
Who is Rob Gomez?
Rob is a 27-year-old actor known for his role in Magandang Dilag. He is the son of former actress Kate Gomez and the nephew of veteran actor Gary Estrada.
Rob has had his fair share of controversial stories in the past. Last year, he went viral after his former partner and beauty queen Shaila Rebortera posted photos of alleged domestic abuse by Rob.
After hours of it being uploaded online, the photos were taken down and Shaila also had an explanation for it. Her full statement read:
"After over a year of being silent about the abuse, I'm happy I was able to speak my truth. Just hours after the photos of the bruises were uploaded, his mother asked for me to say sorry in exchange for being able to stay with them. I decided to leave.
Since that day, so many girls have reached out to tell me either about the same physical, verbal, and emotional abuse they have experienced from him or about the cheating incidents that happened all the while he was keeping our relationship and our baby 'private' for his career. I feel sick hearing about all these now.
Nonetheless, I am grateful to everyone who has shown me support and has helped me get back on my feet. To those who messaged me to let me know I'm not alone, thank you.
I know I should have spoken sooner, but the next best time is now."
Months after, Rob enters the viral scene again with allegedly leaked private conversations between him, Herlene Budol, and Bianca Manalo. The three are former co-stars in the show, Magandang Dilag, where Herlene and Rob play each other's love interests. The conversations stirred cheating allegations by Rob himself.
Rob issued a statement to PEP.ph, arguing that the person who posted the photos had the intention to destroy his reputation. Moreover, he described his co-stars involved in the controversy as some of the people who cheered for him when he was going through some hardships in life.
"Please be advised that my phone was taken and used it without my consent on December 20, 2023 from 12:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. [What's] worse is that the person who took my phone posted pictures of mine in my own social media account pretending that I posted it with the intention of destroying my reputation. The videos as shown were among my friends and co-stars who [were] trying to cheer me up when I was going through a lot of hurdles in my life," his statement read.
