Laguna and Batangas are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds within the next two hours, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 9:33 a.m., PAGASA said Lopez in Quezon is now experiencing heavy rains. It said the weather condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.

Earlier in the day, PAGASA said Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers over Palawan and Southern Mindanao while the easterlies will be affecting the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas on Tuesday.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
