‘Have they given up?’: Joe Biden avoids taking questions following media conference
Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney has reacted to US President Joe Biden’s remarks during a media conference on Tuesday about Donald Trump’s immunity.
This comes after the US Supreme Court sent the former US president’s claim that he’s immune from prosecution for his actions while in office back to a lower court.
“It’s not at all what I expected, to be honest with you,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News Australia.
“I was under the impression he would be taking questions afterwards, that this was part and parcel, not only to try to change the narrative on substance off of the debate and onto the Supreme Court decision.

“But also, to sort of defray some of the concern about his performance in the debate to show that he was sort of able to stand and take questions.
“To turn around and to walk back into the Oval Office like he just did is the type of thing that makes me wonder, have they given up?”
