Logitech announces G515 keyboard to help you embrace ergonomics

There's nothing better than having options in the hardware space, and Logitech's new G515 Lightspeed TKL keyboard gives you plenty to work with.

From a refined low-profile design to numerous enhancements across the board, this could be your new favourite peripheral, especially when it comes to the consideration of ergonomics.

Low-profile design embraces comfort

While low-profile keyboard designs are certainly nothing new, even to Logitech with the pre-existing G915, the G515 packs it into a smaller frame with the TKL format.

You might think that the lower number implies an 'inferior' product, but it couldn't be further from the truth and simply signals the reduction in keys and a more competitive price point.

One of the biggest benefits of a low-profile keyboard though is the enhanced comfort out of the box. The boxiness of standard switch keyboards is certainly appealing - especially from an acoustics perspective - but it can be hard on your wrists in those long gaming sessions.

The lower height and smaller elevation angle ensure less strain, which will definitely benefit you in the long run.

New opportunities for customisation

One of the best new features within the G515 - especially compared to previous low-profile entries from Logitech - is the new switch design. This brings in the more ubiquitous cross-style switches that are much more compatible when it comes to replacing your keycaps.

This ensures that you're able to tailor this keyboard to your own aesthetic preferences, making it more you than ever before.

If you're happy enough with the clean and stunning standard keycap colourways though then you're certainly not lacking, as they've also been upgraded to double-shot PBT from the previous ABS keycaps of the G915, guaranteeing a longer life.

KEYCONTROL is also at the heart of the G515, allowing you to completely customise your inputs with the ease of Logitech's G HUB software. This allows you to map inputs to every single key on the board, alongside mapping up to 15 different assignments per key - although you might have to write them down to remember them all!

All of this can be yours for £139/$139 too, which is definitely a price to consider when compared to the previous G915. As a lover of smaller frames myself this is certainly one that I'll be keeping my eyes on.
