SEOUL, July 2 (Yonhap) -- SBS announced on the 2nd that Yoon Kye-sang, Im Se-mi, and Kim Yo-han have been cast as the lead actors in the upcoming drama "Try: We Become a Miracle" (hereafter "Try"), scheduled to air next year.
"Try," named after the scoring method in rugby, is the first drama in South Korea to feature rugby as its central theme. The storyline follows a top rugby star who retires after a drug scandal and then returns to his alma mater’s struggling rugby team as a contract coach.
Yoon Kye-sang will play the protagonist, Joo Ga-ram, the retired rugby player who becomes a contract coach at his alma mater, Hanyang Sports High School. Im Se-mi will take on the role of Bae Yi-ji, the shooting coach at Hanyang Sports High and Joo Ga-ram’s long-time girlfriend. Kim Yo-han will appear as Yoon Seong-jun, the high school rugby team captain.
The drama is directed by Jang Young-seok, the co-director of the popular drama "Taxi Driver" Season 2, and written by Lim Jin-ah, who won the Grand Prize in the SBS Cultural Foundation’s Script Contest.
