Three Rockingham and Kwinana private schools use $7.8 million Federal Government grant for new facilities
Three schools in Rockingham and Kwinana have shared in $7.8 million for new facilities via a Commonwealth grants program.
Mother Teresa Catholic College in Baldivis has new general learning areas, a visual and performing arts building, breakout spaces, design and technology workshops, food studios, a science lab, a gymnasium, an outdoor sports area and additional parking thanks to a $6.2 million cash injection.
The King’s College in Wellard used $1.5 million to build The Thomas Centre, incorporating general learning areas, storage areas, staff and student amenities, six specialist support rooms, a library and a primary administration area.
Rockingham Montessori School in Rockingham used $110,000 for new multipurpose educational and conference rooms.

Brand MHR Madeleine King, who officially opened the new school spaces, said the improvements would benefit current students as well as those who follow in future years.
“These new facilities will help teachers nurture and inspire students and will help generations of schoolchildren still to come,” she said.
“This is an investment in our young people now and in the future.”
