Dua Lipa 'flying high' as she announces her biggest show to date after Glastonbury triumph

Modern pop sensation Dua Lipa is on top of the world – fresh off the back of her show-stopping Glastonbury set, the star has announced her biggest show so far.
The songstress, 28, took to the Pyramid stage this weekend and performed a run of five songs: Training Season, One Kiss, Illusion, Break My Heart and Levitating.
Almost 100,000 people watched her perform 15 songs, with the crowd stretching all the way back to the boundaries of the park – an area usually reserved for camping.
‘It’s a lot, innit? A lot to take in,’ she told the crowd. ‘Little me would be beside herself right now.’
And little Lipa would be even prouder if she knew what her all-grown-up self had planned next: her biggest tour to date.
Still on a high from her Glastonbury experience, the star has announced the details of her next plan -a concert at Wembley Stadium next year.

Sharing the news, Dua said: ‘There couldn’t be a better time to share this with you all! I am still flying high from the magic of headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury this weekend, and I am absolutely thrilled to announce I’ll be playing Wembley Stadium this time next year.’
Dua will perform at Wembley Stadium on June 20, 2025, with tickets going on sale to the public from July 12 via her website.
The musician’s Wembley appointment comes as she prepares to tour in support of her third album, Radical Optimism.

The Glastonbury headliner rose to fame with her self-titled debut album in 2017, which spawned the number one single New Rules.
Her second number one, One Kiss, with Calvin Harris, became the best-selling song of 2018, and scored her a Brit Award for song of the year.
Dua’s second album, Future Nostalgia, became her first number one album, and won the Brit Award for British album of the year, and the Grammy Award for best pop vocal album.
In addition to providing the song Dance the Night for 2023’s Barbie soundtrack, she also made her acting debut in the same film, as Mermaid Barbie.

Dua may be riding high, but that’s not to say her Glastonbury set went off without a hitch – as she was accused of ‘lip-syncing’ during her performance.
With some fans accusing the One Kiss singer of not singing live, Dua hit back – claiming ‘bad luck’ resulted in sound issues that affected audio quality.
Speaking to MailOnline after the gig, she denied rumours, saying: ‘I don’t mime.’
This has been backed up by a source for The Sun, who added: ‘Dua’s vocals were 100% live.

‘She had worked for years to that moment and would never dream of miming to her fans.’
Meanwhile, the BBC issued a statement, telling Metro.co.uk: ‘This year we are bringing audiences extensive and world class music coverage from Glastonbury across the weekend, including over 90 hours of live performance from the five main stages on BBC iPlayer, which are broadcast as they happen, and 90 hours of radio broadcasts live from the festival, plus more on TV and BBC Sounds.’
