Yankees 'outrageous' blockbuster trade proposal sends farm for White Sox star

As the New York Yankees approach the MLB trade deadline, plenty of scenarios and ideas are floating around.

Some of them are realistic. Others are outrageous in nature. What actually will happen is anyone's guess.

However, Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller put together a list of "outrageous trade ideas," one of which involved the Yankees.

Miller certainly achieved the objective of "outrageous" in proposing a three-team trade with the Yankees, Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers.

The proposed blockbuster resulted in the Yankees essentially selling the farm and a starting outfielder to acquire a star outfielder and a grounder-inducing lefty reliever.

Getting Robert from the White Sox would be a huge addition to the lineup and the outfield. However, giving up their top overall prospect and their top pitching prospect seems suspect for a player who has dealt with injuries seemingly every season. He's played more than 100 games just once since 2021.

The Yankees have been preparing Dominguez for his full-time arrival in the Bronx for years. He's dealing with an oblique injury right now and is on the shelf for the next handful of weeks, but the future is still extremely bright for the prospect nicknamed The Martian.

Robert is under team control through the 2027 season, which would be appealing to the Yankees. Milner is a reliever who relies on a sweeper-sinker combination to induce soft contact.

The Yankees need to make a move at the deadline, but this feels like an overpay.
