Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's mass wedding venue shifts to Thane
The much-anticipated wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant has been making headlines for its grandeur and opulence. As part of their pre-wedding celebrations, the Ambani family has organized several events, one of which is a mass wedding for the underprivileged. Initially planned to be held at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar, this mass wedding has now been relocated to Thane.
The mass wedding, a noble gesture by the Ambani family, was scheduled to take place on July 2, 2024, at 4:30 PM. However, on Monday, the venue was changed to Reliance Corporate Park in Thane. The event is now set to take place at 4 PM on the same day. This shift in location ensures that the celebrations continue smoothly and without any disruptions.
Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, is set to marry Radhika Merchant in a lavish ceremony on July 12, 2024, in Mumbai. The wedding festivities began with an intimate puja ceremony at the Ambanis' residence, Antilia, on June 29. The couple’s wedding celebrations have been nothing short of spectacular, reflecting the Ambani family's reputation for grand and elaborate events.
The pre-wedding celebrations kicked off with a grand cruise party that started in Italy on May 29 and concluded in France on June 1. This was followed by an elaborate pre-wedding gala in Jamnagar in March, which saw the attendance of around 1,000 guests, including celebrities, sportspersons, and industrialists. These events set the tone for what promises to be a grand wedding celebration.
A glimpse of the wedding invite, shared by a guest, revealed an orange box adorned with an image of Lord Vishnu and intricate embroidery of Vaikuntha, the abode of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The box plays a Vishnu mantra upon opening, setting a spiritual tone. Inside, a golden book featuring detachable frames of Lord Ganesha and Radha Krishna contains the wedding invites. The Ambani family further personalized the invite with a handwritten note for the guests, a beautiful 'travel mandir,' and a handcrafted pashmina shawl from Kashmir.
The wedding itself will span three days at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The events are scheduled as follows:
- **July 12, 2024:** Shubh Vivaah
- **July 13, 2024:** Shubh Aashirwad
- **July 14, 2024:** Mangal Utsav, the wedding reception
The mass wedding for the underprivileged is a significant part of the Ambani family's pre-wedding celebrations. It reflects their commitment to giving back to society and helping those in need. By organizing a mass wedding, they provide an opportunity for underprivileged couples to celebrate their union in a grand manner, which they might not have been able to afford otherwise.
