Raiders swap star wideouts in blockbuster mock trade
The Las Vegas Raiders have been in the headlines going into training camp, as the team is expected to move star receiver Davante Adams.
Adams has spent two seasons with Las Vegas, after reuniting with his college teammate, Derek Carr, who was released by the Raiders after the 2022 season.
Adams has been in trade rumors seemingly since Carr was sent packing, with many questioning the star wideout's happiness with the organization.
In a recent mock trade proposed by Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox, the Raiders moved Adams in a rare three-team trade with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. Here are the details of the mocked trade involving the three-time All-Pro.

In the trade, the Raiders send Davante Adams to New York and receive the Jets’ 2025 first-round pick and ex-Raiders Amari Cooper from Cleveland. New York lands Adams and the Browns get some much-needed help at tackle, landing Tyron Smith and New York’s 2025 third-round pick.
The trade is rather sensible for all three sides when you look at each team’s situation for their respective return. Las Vegas lands a cheaper option at receiver, swapping Adams’ five-year, $140 million deal for Cooper’s five-year, $100 million deal.
The Jets, who are in a ‘win-now’ situation, land their third star receiver, reuniting Adams with Aaron Rodgers.
The Browns land All-Pro tackle Tyron Smith to help fill the void of an injured Jack Conklin, who missed the entirety of the 2023 season with a torn ACL.
Cooper spent the first four seasons of his career with the Raiders, notching back-to-back 1000-yard campaigns in his first two seasons before moving him to Dallas for a first-round pick back in 2019. Cooper spent three seasons with the Cowboys before landing in Cleveland in 2022, where he has posted two straight 1,100-plus-yard seasons.
New York’s first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft would also be a nice addition for a Raiders team looking to add as much draft capital as possible before the loaded 2025 draft.
