Las Vegas Raiders' Tyree Wilson turns heads in viral Sack Summit photo
When it comes to Las Vegas Raiders who desperately need to have a big year in 2024, former No. 7 overall pick Tyree Wilson is at or near the top of the list.
The Texas Tech product had a rocky rookie campaign but managed to get better as the season progressed, and especially after the team moved him inside. Ultimately, Wilson finished with 3.5 sacks, all of which came from Week 7 on.
Looking ahead to 2024, Wilson has a full offseason to get ready, which wasn't the case in 2023 as he worked his way back from surgery. The hope is that will help propel him to a breakout campaign.
But there's another reason to be optimistic about Wilson. Check out this picture of the 2023 first-rounder looking MUCH bigger than he was last season. The photo comes from the "Sack Summit" that Wilson attended, along with some of his Raiders teammates.
Maxx Crosby is 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds and he looks tiny next to Wilson. And the same can be said for John Jenkins, who is 6-foot-3, 327 pounds. Along with Wilson, Crosby and Jenkins, Malcolm Koonce, David Ahoga, Charles Snowden and Janarius Robinson were also in attendance
Of course, a bigger frame doesn't guarantee success, but it will certainly help Wilson take on offensive linemen. Not to mention, it shows Wilson has been putting in a lot of work in preparation for his second season.
Wilson is expected to be the first man off the bench when Koonce or Crosby need a breather, and he'll likely see some time inside, also.
