No Love For Eagles TE Dallas Goedert?
Have you ever read something that made you pause and ask yourself if you just read that? That’s how we felt when we saw that Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was listed on the Pro Football Network’s list of most underappreciated players.
We seriously had to take double-check before we dove into their analysis and thoughts on Goedert.

“On an offense with explosive elements in DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown, Dallas Goedert is still capable of setting a physical tone,” wrote Pro Football Network. “Philadelphia has trusted him to punish edge rushers and linebackers in the run game, then bury his shoulders into them after the catch. Goedert has a current streak of three 50-catch campaigns.”
Ah, The old bait-and-switch routine.
While we are annoyed by the fact that anyone, anywhere, would list Goedert as an underappreciated player on this Eagles squad, they are spot-on with their actual analysis.
Goedert, heading into his seventh season with the Eagles, is one of quarterback Jalen Hurts’ most trusted targets. Goedert plays the position quite well and has been an anchor in the passing game for his entire career.
While he may not get enough love for a tight end, chalk that up to playing in the league at the same time as guys like Travis Kelce and George Kittle.
As far as how they feel about him in Philadelphia, you can bet that they have much “brotherly love” for their starting tight end.
