Lionel Messi Makes Surprise Cameo In Comedy Show
Not content with merely winning the World Cup or getting a big money move to MLS, Lionel Messi is making his first moves into the world of acting. He recently made his television debut with an appearance on Argentine drama comedy Lost Protectoris, or The Protectors as it translates to in English. The show follows the journey of three football agents trying to dodge bankruptcy and rebuild their careers in what is you can imagine, a pretty crazy industry. Messi's role in the show is, unsurprisingly, of playing himself and meeting with the three agents to discuss a fairly ludicrous business deal. They propose he plays one game for every team in Argentina. In alphabetical order. He's not exactly thrilled about this, called them uneducated and asked why the hell they even brought him here before. Everything then gets smoothed over and they celebrate not actually doing anything together with a glass of whatever this is. It's not likely to add an Oscar to his trophy collection anytime soon, but hey, it's a start.
