Turnovers, Coaching Highlight Eagles' Biggest Concern
Jalen Hurts has had his career backed up against the wall before. Each time he has answered the call with improvements in almost every facet of his game.
The same pressures may not be hitting him just yet, but it's safe to assume Hurts' career trajectory is just getting started.

After a career year in 2022 that saw him lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance, Hurts responded with a down year of sorts in 2023 by setting career worse marks in turnovers.
Despite growing concern about his leadership style, it's the turnovers committed by Hurts last year that remain the biggest issue to clean up going into the new season.
"Hurts finished last year with 19 turnovers, third-most among all NFL quarterbacks last year, seven more than he had in 2022 and most by any Eagles QB since Randall Cunningham had 19 in 1992," NBC Sports Philadelphia's own Reuben Frank wrote. "Solve that issue and the other issue doesn’t exist."
Frank also stated that coaching certainly didn't help Hurts' case with the Eagles last season. Philadelphia's offense may have ranked as a top-10 unit, but questionable game plans and play-calls kept them from any sort of level of consistency.
With Kellen Moore now on the team, it appears that those concerns won't be as much of an issue.
"My guess is that playing in a more dynamic and less predictable offense will solve the turnover problem. If you’re uncomfortable with the play calling and unsure what the plan is, you’re going to make mistakes, and that’s what we saw last year," Frank explained.
Cutting down the turnovers could very well position the Eagles to be a top team in the NFC once again. While there's plenty of pressure on Hurts to produce this season, taking care of the football is arguably the first order of business.
