Jill Biden should 'stop the madness,' get Joe out of race: Sen. Tommy Tuberville

I don't walk as easy as I used to. I don't speak as smoothly as I used to. I don't debate as well as I used to. But I know what I do know. I know how to tell the truth. That was President Biden admitting that he had a bad debate Thursday night. And we're seeing the fallout. The president hold up again at Camp David with his family. First lady Jill Biden, first son Hunter reportedly urging Biden to stay in the race. But the first lady told Vogue, quote, Joe will always do what's best for the country. Well, what is that? Former presidential candidate Nikki Haley warning Trump to gear up for a younger, more energetic opponent and renewing her call for cognitive testing ahead of the election. And she was warning Democrats that they continue down this path and they have Biden as their nominee. They're committing to hurting America. Also this morning, we're waiting for the Supreme Court's decision on former President Trump's immunity case. That's later today, 10:00 AM Eastern Time. Let's bring in Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville. He is a member of the Senate Armed Services, agriculture, Veterans Affairs and health committees. Good morning, Senator. Good morning. Your reaction to what we saw over the weekend, and that was Joe Biden on Saturday or Friday, actually. Obviously, he was on prompter and the Democrats seem to be in panic mode still. What are you hearing from your sources? Well, first of all, it's kind of like a reality show. Those of this had that have been in Congress for going on four years have noticed all this. We've witnessed it all. The mainstream media has been blocking everything that the Biden families do and they've been hiding him out in Delaware. It's it's really embarrassing for our country. I know our adversaries are watching all this, but at the end of the day, I hope they make the right decision. But for them to have to get together to decide whether he's going to run for president of the United States, that ought to tell you something. Sure, we need, we need leadership. We have zero leadership right now in Washington, DC when it comes to president of the United States and the decisions they've made. I don't know what he's making them or somebody else, but somebody needs to get together with him and, and decide very quickly. And if he need to step now, go ahead and step down, get out of the way. We need leadership. We don't need to wait another five months. But but Senator, at the end of the day, it has to be President Biden and Jill Biden that make that decision. And it doesn't seem like that's happening. She's got a vote cover out this morning where she's, you know, defending her husband Again, You know, I have to ask you this. There's been talk about the 25th Amendment. It's, it's been brought up over the weekend that that he would be, he could be removed in the 25th Amendment. Do you see any kind of scenario like that playing out? I really don't, I don't, I don't think that'll happen. I think Jill Biden is one really making decisions physically for, for President Biden right now. She needs to stop the madness and, and, and get him out of this situation. I think it's if they would come to an agreement as a family and say, listen, we're, we've decided not to run next year. Let's play this thing out. But right now the American people are are confused #1 because they've been told for four years he's fine. But all of a sudden in one night, they saw an absolute disaster on national television. And I don't think it's going to play very well for the Democratic Party. Well, look, Senator Barrasso was on with Maria yesterday and he made a very good point that our adversaries around the world, they were watching on Thursday night and that whether it's China or it's Russia or it's Iran, you take your pick of the threat that we we've got serious concerns now about the president's viability. Watch this. And my concern right now, Maria, is not just all the Americans who watched this debate. It's what foreign leaders, our enemies saw in that debate in China, Russia, Iran, North Korea right now. Are they thinking this is our moment of opportunity? Are you saying that Joe Biden should be replaced on the Democrat ticket? The Democrats are going to have to make that decision, Maria. And they are discussing it from two different ways. One is, do you replace him on the ticket? And the other is, do you replace him now as president? Either way, you're stuck with Kamala Harris, the vice president who actually, I think would be worse than Joe Biden. But Nikki Haley, I have to say here, you know, Nikki Haley telling the Wall Street Journal that that Republicans need to gear up for a younger, more energetic candidate. She does not believe that Joe Biden is going to be on that ticket in November. Your reaction? Well, who knows? The Democrats are going to have to make that decision. But as Senator Brasso said, our adversaries are watching it, but also our allies are watching this, Cheryl, the people that count on us. So we basically help almost everybody in the world that are our allies and whether it's, you know, for anything from security defense to helping them financially. And so they're all watching going what, what in the world is American people doing? What, where's the where's this country going? And right now we are, we're, we're not going anywhere. We're going backwards. And that's the reason so many people are behind President Trump and understand that at least he's a leader. He understands the the problems. We need to put answers to the problems. You saw, saw in the debate the other night. I don't even think Joe Biden knew the problems. President Trump knew the problems. He knows the answers. He knows the direction he wants to go and we got to get people behind him, You know, and also too, Gordon Chang was joined us earlier this morning and he said that if you're Xi Jinping and if you're thinking about making some kind of move against Taiwan, for example, you do it before next January, which is a very scary thought. I do want to ask you one other thing here, just to pivot here for a minute. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokespeople are telling the New York Post that dozens of these migrants who were caught on camera that violently stormed the border in El Paso, that was earlier this year. They've been released. And then back in Maine, El Paso judge dismissed these criminal charges against 211. Eleven illegal migrants involved in that right. They were released from state custody and then they were handed over to ICE. ICE released 43 of them. And Fox Digital focus groups. Results are finding that independent voters were swayed towards President Trump in real time when he spoke about immigration during the CNN presidential debate. Senator Well, we live in a dangerous world, a lot more dangerous world now, Cheryl, than we did three, 3 1/2 years ago. Open borders are not what is going to help make this country even better. I'm right now sitting in Panama City, Panama, getting ready to go to the inauguration of the new president, Jose Molino, who is a big populist. He wants to stop the Darien Gap. And that's where a lot of these people come through from Central America. And so that's a huge plus for the for the American people. And this is not even Joe Biden is probably Fuman. He and and Secretary Secretary Mayorkas are probably not not looking eye to eye with this new president down here. But I'm looking forward to talking with him and spending some time with him. He could really make a difference for us in our country if he would do the right thing in the Darien Gap and slow the trafficking down at least for the next five or six months till we we replace the Democrats. That would be an incredible turn in the immigration crisis that we are facing as a nation. Senator. And I'll be very curious to hear about that conversation because the Darien Gap is certainly to your .1 of the biggest problems that we have as far as that migration pattern. Senator Tommy Tuberville. Senator, thank you. Thank you. All right.
