The Oregon Ducks have been red hot on the recruiting trail over the last few weeks.
Texas has been on the wrong end of a few of those recruitments. Five-star cornerback Dorian Brew announced his commitment to Oregon on Saturday. He chose the Ducks over Ohio State and Texas.
The Conroe (TX) product is ranked the No. 5 cornerback in the nation for the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 7 overall player in the state, according to 247Sports composite.
Brew took official visits to Texas (June 18), Ohio State (June 21), Oregon (June 14) and USC (June 7) prior to announcing his commitment.
“From the jump they made it known that I was a must have for them,” Brew told On3 Sports on his decision to commit to Oregon. “Who doesn’t want to play for a defensive head coach as a DB? I also feel that I’m going to fit perfectly in their defense.”
The Longhorns currently hold the No. 19 recruiting class in the nation for the 2025 cycle.
