New“ Cobra Kai ”final season trailer teases more dojo mayhem, including the return of John Kreese

The Netflix series will split season 6 into three parts, with the first out July 18.

Oh, it is on.

A supersquad under dojo leaders Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), with an assist from Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto), is in training in a trailer for the first part of Cobra Kai's sixth and final season. The clip for the Netflix series (below) shows the gang is as hungry for a win as ever, this time in the elite Sekai Taikai international karate tournament.

In one scene, Lawrence throws objects at his students, as he explains, "No matter what life throws at you, you gotta stay on your feet."

Same old Johnny!

We see Daniel pleading with Johnny to adhere to the agreement they made to teach their students both of their styles of karate, and their students attempting to break boards and make other sweet karate moves.

Elsewhere, the audience gets a glimpse of a news story headlined "Martial Arts Mayhem," above a photo of the villainous John Kreese (Martin Kove), whom we last saw escaping prison by faking his own death. He's back in uniform here, so surely he's entered the same competition as the familiar fighters like Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), Samantha (Mary Mouser), Robby (Tanner Buchanan), and all the rest.

Seeing even this brief glimpse of new episodes of the show will surely be a relief for fans, since the fifth season of Cobra Kai was released way back in September 2022. And though new episodes are on the way, the wait is not entirely over.

Five new episodes of Cobra Kai will premiere on Netflix on July 18. The drop will be followed by another on Nov. 28 and the final one in 2025.
