The Latest Blazers Free Agency News
NBA Free Agency is officially underway, and SBNation is tracking every transaction right here. Here are the latest updates that are related peripherally to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Note: Any trades or major reports about the Blazers from a national media member will receive its own article, and we’ll link it here.
Blazers-Related Rumors
- Jerami Grant might be available in trade talks. Anthony F. Irwin says the Lakers have been in discussions with the Blazers about Grant, and hints that the Lakers would be trading two first round picks in a transaction. But there is no corroboration from a national media member so far. The Lakers and Mavericks come up as the likeliest destinations if Grant is moved, but nothing is remotely concrete.
Blazer’s Edge Managing Editor Dave Deckard discussed the murmurs about Jerami Grant.
- There have been some minor chatter that the Mavericks might be interested in Matisse Thybulle, but they have not been corroborated by a national media member. The Mavs made an offer for Thybulle last summer that Portland matched. It’s unclear what the Mavs would offer in trade.
Updates on Former Blazers
- Seven long years later, the Allen Crabbe trade to the Brooklyn Nets is finally complete, as Andrew Nicholson’s contract came off the Blazers’ financial books at 12:00am EDT Monday morning.
