Newcastle are reportedly in talks in a Saudi Pro-league club over the transfer of Paraguayan winger Miguel Almiron.
The transfer window officially opened on Monday and clubs will have until August 30 to make their moves.
Newcastle confirmed the departures of Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh to Nottingham Forest and Brighton on Sunday, selling the sell pair for combined £68million in desperate eleventh-hour deals to avoid PSR points deduction.
St James' Park figures have been battling to avoid a deduction for failing to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules and they needed to offload before Sunday night's accounting period deadline.
And there could be another departure on the horizon for the Magpies.

Sky Sports report that the Tyneside outfit could be set to cash in on Almiron after discussions with an unnamed Saudi team.
Almiron, who turned 30 in February, signed for Newcastle from MLS side Atlanta United in January 2019 for a fee north of £20m.
He signed a new three-year extension in February last year and is under contract with Newcastle until June 2026.

Almiron scored nine goals in his first full seasons at St James' Park, but found the net just five times in the next two campaigns combined.
Eddie Howe's arrival on Tyneside, however, breathed a new lease of life in Almiron's career, with the Paraguay international scoring 11 goals in the 2022-23 campaign.
The winger remained a regular starter last season but managed just three goals in 33 Premier League appearances and was hampered by a knee injury in the final months.
