The Edmonton Oilers are extending their relationship with Connor Brown.
The forward signed his second one-year contract in a row with the Oilers on Monday, this one for $1 million.
After struggling for much of the year, Brown played a more productive role for the Oilers in their run to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final. He had two goals and four assists in 19 playoff games.
The 30-year-old Toronto native had four goals and eight assists in 71 games in the regular season.
Brown played just four games with the Washington Capitals last season after suffering a knee injury.
A former junior teammate of Oilers star Connor McDavid with the Erie Otters, Brown has 94 goals and 138 assists for 228 points in 519 career games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Caps and Edmonton.
