Owning Manhattan star Jade Shenker has furiously hit back at her 'fake' costar Jonathan Nørmølle over the cruel comments he made about her and fellow brokers on the new Netflix series.

Jonathan, 27, ripped into several of the Serhant real estate agents, including Jade who he branded 'terrible,' in a now-deleted podcast episode alongside costar Jessica Markowski.

The podcast – which was recorded for the company – caused a huge fallout on the show and resulted in Jonathan being forced to apologize for his actions.

Sharing her thoughts about his scathing comments, Jade, 28, told DailyMail.com she has blocked him - as she revealed the pre-edited version was even more shocking.

'Good riddance,' she said. 'We have a good amount of agents here. I've blocked him.

'I don't care if somebody talks about me because guess what? You are a fan. Who are you? You are no-one. You're a fake. I simply don't care.'

On the podcast, Jonathan was heard saying: 'That's what p***es me off about the people at the firm now, it's almost like a lot of the people are not angry with us, but have some resentment towards us.

'For example, Jade. The New York socialite and this and that. Every single video she posts says "My dad is a real estate tycoon, my mom is a model"... I'm like, well you turned out terrible.'

He later added: 'Anybody in their 30s or 20s that has millions of dollars would much rather go tour with your and me... This might sound cocky, but there's no competition at all.'

Jade explained that his decision to say the comments on a company podcast was the most offensive part of the ordeal.

She stated: 'With Jonathan, I was more offended by the fact he went into Serhant and was calling out our agents on this podcast. I heard the original podcast which is way worse before it was even edited.

'It was really nasty. I'm like: "How could you do that?" Ryan [Serhant] is giving you a chance to prove yourself. He's giving you a golden opportunity and you're going to tell him, everyone else you hired is dogs**t.

She added: 'Jonathan is a character and he's young. Fame and humility is something that needs to go hand in hand and he's definitely lacking the latter.'

Jonathan was eventually fired by Ryan Serhant on the roof deck of Manhattan skyscraper The Edge at Hudson Yards in the final episode of the series.

Jade admitted she felt grateful to her boss for making the decision.

'There are so many reasons why I think he should have been fired... this was an important lesson for a lot of people,' she said. 'It's one thing to use social media and clickbait and stuff to elevate your brand.

'But there needs to be a strategy behind it. When you put things out there, there needs to be a strategy. How many reality stars do we see actually turn fame into business and know how to leverage them.'

She continued: 'If I did an event for a building, and if there was no strategy behind it, what does it really do? It's a waste of my time it's a waste of money and it's a waste of everyone who goes there's time.

'So doing a podcast, incredible... doing a podcast and talk s**t about other agents, make it make sense.'

During her time as a Commercial Real Estate strategist, Jade has made her name as a Top 30 Under 30 real estate industry disrupter and advisor.

Since founding Serhant's commercial division with almost a quarter of a billion dollars in active listings, she has managed over $650 million in luxury assets, as well as gaining a large following on social media thanks to her unique approach to selling.

Indeed, Jade proudly boasts about her mission to make 'commercial real estate sexy' - something that often sees her being judged and underestimated.

'I'm going to be honest, the trolling on social media does get to me,' she explained. 'There are times where I have thought, "Oh my gosh, maybe I should tone it down".

'But I don't want to. I have had so many investors and developers get in touch after seeing my posts and the way I present my properties and they tell me that they love what I'm doing.

'As a broker, I need to grasp attention and make my building stand out compared to a million others. In this climate, I'm not going to keep doing what has been done before.'

Jade also revealed that how she presents herself has more to do with encouraging her inner confidence while doing business deals.

She continued: 'Part of loving what I do is showing up how I feel most confident and that is when I am feeling sexy and at my best. Growing up I would always hear: "That skirt's too short, it's going to distract the boys". And I never understood that.

'Why does that matter when I graduated top of my class? Why does that matter when I am closing this million dollar deal? If being myself and showing up how I feel confident to do business is distracting then alright, let's use it to sell.

'I'm all about my business and doing what it takes to get the best for my clients and my company.'

One such example is when she performed a sexy dance routine in a music video created to help sell a property.

Jade was quick to point out that she hadn't actually planned on starring in the music video herself, but was encouraged to take part in order to be the clear face of the project.

'We sold that building, it was a record sale,' she said. 'I then had other developers reach out to me to do the same for them but I had to point out that it's not a one shoe fits all approach.'

The SERHANT brokerage takes center stage in Owning Manhattan, and gives viewers an inside look at the adrenaline-filled universe of high-stakes New York City real estate.

The agents are seen facing intense competition to secure the city’s most exclusive luxury listings.
