People are 'ditching' their air fryers for a 'much cheaper alternative' they say gives 'fantastic results'. On Amazon, thousands of shoppers are heaping praise on an 'affordable' halogen oven that promises to save you money on your energy bills.

Its 17-litre capacity is ideal for large families or entertaining guests. Its ample space inside means you can cook a variety of foods at once with additional accessories included.

Daewoo's Manual Healthy Halogen Air Fryer has been designed with air circulation technology, so you don't have to cook with oil to help you eat healthier. In terms of cleaning it, all you have to do is fill with warm, soapy water and set to self-clean.

The 'low-cost' appliance claims to be 73% cheaper top run - based on energy consumption £ per K/Wh when compared to an average 5000W electric oven. Plus, if you order fast enough, you could get it delivered straight to your door by tomorrow.

In the many glowing five-star reviews, the majority of customers say the Daewoo's Manual Healthy Halogen Air Fryer cooks 'well with less fuss, evenly and quickly'. In one particular review, a shopper called Maria said: "I ordered this as a much cheaper alternative to an air fryer.

However, not everyone was in agreement as some had issues with durability. A customer called Higginson wrote: "Rubber feet on inner tray kept coming off when tray washed, luckily I found them and now wash carefully, also timer bell only works intermittently."

Thuy said: "The glass is easy to clean, but has already chipped... You do have to turn food over a couple of times to get even cooking. It's also quite bulky." Another claimed: "Within 6 weeks the timer kept stopping part way through cooking."
