The iPhone 15 Plus, which was launched in September last year at a starting price of ₹89,900 was one of the best-selling smartphones globally in the January-March period of 2024.
As part of the e-commerce platform Flipkart’s Big Bachat Days sale, the device is currently available for ₹74,999. On top of that, if you plan on trading in an old smartphone, you can get up to ₹9,450 off as well. Remember that the actual value of the handset you will be exchanging will depend on its model and condition.
Furthermore, if you decide to make your payment through UPI, then you can even avail an extra ₹1,000 off. In an ideal situation, you can get the iPhone 15 Plus for as low as ₹65,000 — that is an irresistible deal.
Should you buy the iPhone 15 Plus?
The iPhone 15 series is currently the most future-proof of all iPhone models that are currently available. Unlike the iPhone 14 Plus, which despite being on sale does not have our stamp of approval, this ticks most boxes if not all.
The iPhone 15 Plus comes with a USB Type-C charging port, has the Dynamic Island and will get the latest iOS till 2028. However, it is still missing a few things.
Rumours suggest that the iPhone 16 base models will have a camera module similar to the iPhone 12’s so that they can also record spatial videos. Additionally, the iPhone 16 models are also expected to come with a new capture button for camera functionalities and the customisable Action Button, which is only on the iPhone 15 Pro models at the moment.
The iPhone 15 base models will also not receive any Apple Intelligence features with the upgrade to iOS 18. Apple said during its annual developers’ conference that only iPhones with the A17 Pro chip and above will be getting the feature.
Whether or not these features matter to you or not will dictate your purchase. The iPhone 15 Plus under ₹75,000 is not a bad purchase by any means. It has a 6.7-inch 60 Hz OLED display, a 48MP main camera, battery life that can last you all day and the convenience of an Apple ecosystem.
