The well-known TV actor, best known for his role as Raman Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, took to social media to express his need for work. Patel, who has been a significant presence on Indian television, was last seen on screen in 2020 as Rishab Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Then in 2021, he featured as a guest in reality shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Karan Patel gained immense popularity for his performance in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein opposite Divyanka Tripathi. However, it was Kasturi which gave him his first lead role. Patel's other TV shows include Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kasamh Se. In 2008, he made his debut as a host by anchoring a new show Kaho Na Yaar Hai. In 2013, he participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
